Cricketer Michael Clarke and glamour girlfriend Lara Bingle couldn’t sell their waterfront house in Sydney’s southern suburbs so are now trying to rent it out for $1500 a week.

Pup and his beloved Lara have spent a fortune renovating the Lilli Pilli house but failed to sell it for the price they hoped for.

Clarke bought the house for $2.87 million in March 2006 but withdrew it from auction earlier this year after a lack of buyer interest.

The five bedroom house has been available for rent since early April, but is failing to be snapped up as Sydney’s prestige rental market takes a hit from the Global Financial Crisis.
