Even Nicole Kidman Gets Caught in Falling Property Market

Monday 18th May 2009

If, as the Sun Herald reports that Nicole Kidman has finally sold her Darling Point mansion, the flame-haired starlet will have taken a 30 per cent hit to her hip pocket.

The three-level house – which Kidman alleged Sydney paparazzi photographer Jamie Fawcett illegally bugged and recorded to chase her whereabouts – has been on the market quietly for more than a year with a $20 million price tag.

But agents are reporting the house may have sold for around the $14 million mark.

Kidman, who is now 41 and married to singer Keith Urban, no longer uses the Sydney house and is based in Nashville. When she returns to Sydney, Kidman can stay with her sister Antonia in their Greenwich home or with her parents, who still live in Longueville.

The Darling Point property is on a steep block without child-friendly gardens and was bought back in 1995 when she was married to Tom Cruise.

The Yarranabbe Rd duplex was bought with security and privacy in mind.
