He writes the songs that makes the whole world sing and now Barry Manilow has listed his Malibu beach house for sale.

The singer’s palatial four-bedroom oceanfront house is on the market with a $US10 million-plus asking price.

There’s a spate of Malibu beachfronts on the market – last week onthehouse.com.au noted Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Flea was selling his, too – and one can only assume the American housing crisis is hitting even the best real estate.

Not that Barry Manilow is taking a price dive on his property. Realestalker reports that he paid just over $3 million for the property back in 2002, so if he gets a sale near his asking price then he’ll be doing nicely, thank you.
