Australia in Top Three for Investment

Tuesday 7th July 2009

Australia, China and Japan are the best countries to invest in property, according to the Investment Intentions Asia Survey 2009.

The survey – conducted by Asian Real Estate Association, European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles and the Pension Real Estate Association – found this was in sharp contrast to last year’s survey, when Australia did not rate a mention.

Investor interest had been stimulated by Australia’s lower currency and falling property prices.

The survey found managers of high level fund-of-funds were more optimistic about Australian property than direct investors or fund managers.
